Andrew Perish, who was jailed for his role in the killing and mutilation of a police informant 20 years ago, has been charged with supplying a large commercial quantity of drugs while still on parole.

Perish, 50, was arrested on Wednesday at his Leumeah home alongside Roxanne Carmella Brincat, 46.

They are both alleged to be part of a syndicate involved in the supply of nearly 18kg of pseudoephedrine and 4.5kg of the drug ice with a total estimated potential street value of more than $1 million.

They were arrested in orchestrated dawn raids across Sydney involving the Tactical Operations Unit, the Central and South West Metropolitan Operations Support Group, Redfern Region Enforcement Squad, the Dog Unit and officers from Campbelltown City, Camden, Leichhardt and Sydney City police area commands.

They executed search warrants on other premises in Ultimo, Glebe, Rosemeadow and Douglas Park and arrested another woman and two men.

During the searches, police seized ice, cannabis, prescription medications, and electronic devices.

Perish was released from jail on parole in August last year wearing a 24-hour ankle monitor. He was jailed for nine years in 2012 for conspiracy to murder Sydney drug dealer Terry Falconer, who was kidnapped, murdered and found cut into pieces in the Hastings River in 2001.

Perish’s older brother Anthony was given 18 years in jail for murder after it was deemed the brothers believed Falconer was behind the executions of their grandparents.

The notorious murder and police hunt for Falconer’s killers became the subject of the TV series Underbelly: Badness.

Wednesday’s arrests followed an 11-month operation by officers from Surry Hills who formed Strike Force Cattanach to investigate the supply of ‘ice’ and prescription medications across Sydney.
