One of Sydney’s richest businesswomen and her fiance are embroiled in a dispute with his estranged life partner, with accusations in both directions landing the trio in court.
Former male escort Michael Burn, who recently celebrated his engagement to BondiBoost founder Alexandra Jakob, has sought an apprehended violence order against his former partner Geoffrey Williams over claims of “harassing and stalking behaviour”.
Mr Williams, in turn, has made a complaint to police alleging Ms Jakob threatened to “have a bullet put in his head” during a phone call after learning of his relationship with Mr Burn.
The Daily Telegraph does not suggest the allegations are true, only that a complaint was made to NSW Police.
Mr Williams made the police report regarding the alleged threat some weeks before Mr Burn and Ms Jakob filed the private apprehended violence order.
“I categorically deny all allegations of harassment or threats,” Mr Williams said.
“I firmly believe Ms Jakob has developed an unhealthy fixation on my past relationship with Michael.”
Solicitor Javid Faiz said Ms Jakob had shown “considerable co-operation” with police.
“We are aware of the allegations made against her,” Mr Faiz said.
“Given her significant access to resources, she is determined to pursue every possible avenue in court.
“Nothing has been proven against Ms Jakob – we will not be treating this allegation lightly.”
In a recent magazine feature, Ms Jakob and Mr Burn said they met in September 2023, and were engaged in September 2024.
The Daily Telegraph has seen documents indicating Mr Burn – a British citizen – was still endeavouring to overturn a refusal of a partner visa he sought, based on his relationship to Mr Williams, in 2024.
That appeal was only withdrawn on September 17 last year, on the basis Mr Williams and Mr Burn’s relationship had just terminated after nine and a half years on and off.
There was no specific response to questions about the timeline of the pair’s relationship.
The trio have now called in the big guns, with barrister AJ Karim appearing for Ms Jakob and Mr Burn and Greg Stanton for Mr Williams at Downing Centre Local Court on Wednesday.
Mr Williams said he will contest the order, with the court hearing the parties will also consider mediation.
