A FRENCH member of the Hells Angels outlaw motorcycle gang has been refused entry into Australia by Australian Border Force officers at Perth Airport.
The 44-year-old arrived on a flight from Singapore but intelligence on the man deemed him an undesirable visitor and he was detained and questioned on character grounds.
It was established that he was linked to Australian gang members in Sydney and questions were raised about his intentions to meet with them. He was carrying his colours.
The man’s 601 Visitor Visa was cancelled on the basis that “he presented a risk to the health, safety or good order of the Australian community, or a segment of the community”.

ABF Regional Commander for WA Rod O’Donnell said the ABF worked with police in disrupting the activities of outlaw motorcycle gangs in the ongoing fight to protect the Australian community.
“These gangs pose a significant threat to our community and are known to be involved in serious criminal activity including drug trafficking and violent crime,” Commander O’Donnell said.
“Any non-citizen involved with a criminal organisation such as a bikie gang can expect to be identified and targeted by the ABF, have their Australian visa cancelled and then be removed from the country.”
It is understood the man arrived on a visitor visa and had been travelling alone and was kept in custody overnight before being flown back to Singapore. Intelligence pointed to significant criminal history.
“By quickly turning around these individuals at the airport, it removes the chance of any threat posed to the community,” an ABF spokeswoman said.
Last week, 20 interstate OMCG members predominantly from WA and South Australia and from the Rebels gang were dragged out of hotel rooms in Parramatta and Liverpool and sent back to their home states after NSW Police uncovered a planned secret gathering.
Just after 8pm last Saturday, officers from Strike Force Raptor, South West Metropolitan
“We don’t tolerate any sort of ill behaviour from OMCG groups from NSW or anywhere else,” unit boss Detective Superintendent Debbie Wallace said of those raids.
“The Sydney club members know if they act up, especially in a public place there will be consequences for their entire club. The same goes for anyone visiting here.’’
Police in NSW are hypersensitive to OMCG members following the infamous 2009 Comanchero brawl with Hells Angels at Sydney Airport with one biker killed from the ongoing feud between the groups.
In February this year, former Comanchero boss Mick Hawi — who was found guilty of the domestic airport bashing murder — was gunned down outside a Sydney gym.
