Residents in an affluent suburb have been left fuming after a street was left trashed following an “out-of-control” party.
Pictures were shared to a community Facebook page on Sunday showing garbage strewn down the Burleigh Heads street of Anzac Pde.
“The aftermath of the wild street festival this morning … how sad,” reads the post.
Temporary fencing covered in black plastic tarps were still set-up on the street long after the party had wrapped up, one of which had “FLYNN FEST” sprayed on it.
“Food wrappers, half-eaten burgers and chips, alcohol cans, eskies, cups, and what appears to be portaloos and tarps with cement blocks,” said the woman who posted the images.
The person who wrote the post goes on to warn people about cement blocks blocking the footpaths, and to avoid walking their dogs in the area in case they ate any of the garbage.
“It’s absolutely everywhere down the whole street – even on other people’s lawns,” reads the post.
Queensland Police said their officers weren’t called to Anzac Pde overnight.
