The three PlayStation games you need to own following the reveals at E3

THE best PlayStation games have been unveiled at E3 2015. Here are the three biggest titles you need to know about.

CALL it a triple threat because Sony has unveiled three of its landmark games in a private theatre experience at E3.

The session extended on what was delivered at the PlayStation press conference in regards to its three biggest titles.

All exclusive to PlayStation, the games are diverse and will come as welcomed news to gamers wanting a fix in the near future.

While the games are not due for release just yet, here is a recap of some amazing titles.

Horizon Zero Dawn

Described by its creators as a post-apocalyptic game, Horizon Zero Dawn is set long after the demise of civilisation as we know it.

What is left of dilapidated cityscapes has now been overtaken by nature and super high-tech dinosaurs roam the land.

The protagonist, Aloy, is a woman roaming the dangerous landscape and surviving using her elite hunting and crafting skills.

A demo showcased at E3 portrayed gameplay of Aloy battling a dinosaur.

To defeat the beast she was required to use number of weapons, suggesting the game will be more than just a shooter and will require some strategy.

The sneak peak also unveils an expansive and fully interactive world that is sure to offer endless hours of gameplay and exploration.

If post-apocalyptic battles with gnarly futuristic robot dinosaurs sounds like a good time, this could be the game for you.

The Last Guardian

This game is the birth child from the vivid imagination of creative director Fumito Ueda.

Originally planned to be released on the PS3 the game suffered a number of development setbacks, but it appears they have now been sorted.

The game follows a young boy as he tries to escape the ruins of a castle with the help of a large feathered creature resembling the hybrid of a cat, dog and bird.

Considered a third-person perspective game that combines action, adventure and puzzles, The Last Guardian requires players to feed off the ability of each character.

From the gameplay revealed at E3, it appears the boy is better at solving puzzles and navigating smaller spaces, while the creature is strong and can cover large distances.

Unfortunately, the player doesn’t control the creature directly, although he does respond to every one of the boy’s commands.

The game looks emotionally and visually captivating with a strong focus on the friendship between the two characters.

First looks suggests casual gamers from the western world might struggle to grasp the concept, but it is definitely worth keeping an eye out as more information is revealed.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End

This is probably the biggest game set for release from PlayStation and the most action packed of the landmark titles.

The third-person shooter developed by Naughty Dog is set several years after the previous game in the franchise and retired fortune hunter, Nathan Drake, is forced back into work.

The demo begins with Nathan and a companion walking around a populated part of Madagascan City as they try and locate one of their friend.

Trouble quickly ensues and the duo are locked in a gun fight with enemies before hopping into a 4x4, in which they try and escape an enemy escape vehicle.

After a suspenseful chase, Drake uses a grappling hook to exit the vehicle and hook onto an enemy car.

He is dragged across the landscape, while also shooting at enemies before eventually eliminating them all.

The game looks wild, action-packed and will be a winner for people who want suspense, combat and a killer story.
