Don’t panic, your Xbox isn’t broken.

Gamers around the world were left wondering what was going on, and fearing their console was broken when Xbox Live went down this morning.

Some users took to social media lamenting the fact that their Xbox had finally packed it in, not realising the network was the issue.

“We are aware of reports of Xbox One console start-up, title update and sign-in errors. We will keep everyone informed once we have more information to share,” Xbox’s support team posted on Twitter shortly after 5am this morning.

A number of users were relieved to learn it wasn’t their machine that was broken.

At 7:23am this morning, Xbox told customers it had fixed the problem which had caused so many of them to freak out.

“The issues surrounding Xbox One console start-up, sign-in, title update errors, and our status page have now been resolved,” it said. “Thank you for sticking with us while our teams addressed these issues and we appreciate the reports. As always, we’re here and we’re listening.”
