IT was the hub of all things rugby league in Sydney recently but in November Cronulla will be sporting central with the best and brightest surfing talent heading there for the Sydney International Women’s Pro and International Beach Festival.
Headlining the crucial QS6000 women’s world qualifying event are event organiser Sally Fitzgibbons and fellow world tour surfers Laura Enever and Coco Ho.

But also on the start list are the likes of surfing sisters Ellie Jean and Holly Sue Coffey from one of the sports most high-profile families.
Ellie-Jean, 21, and Holly-Sue, 18, are social media stars with have more than 900,000 Instagram followers.
But they are also dedicated surfers trying to make a mark on the sport by earning a spot on the professional world surf league in upcoming years.
The season-ending Sydney International women’s pro is part of the world qualifying series which helps launch young talent onto the world tour.
It is also Fitzgibbon’s first foray into hosting a sporting event.
The International Beach Festival will boast an ironwoman invitational, the Shire Mile, an ocean swim, a board riders battle, a pro assist and assorted other events for families, children and elite athletes.
