Some of the rules are just cosmetic but others could really change the way the game is played.
Here’s our quick GUIDE to what you need to know about the 2018 Super Netball competition.
THE BIGGEST CHANGE
This would be a major overhaul to the points ladder.
No longer are wins worth two points, a draw one and a loss zero.
Points awarded in 2018 will be double these numbers - four for a win and two for a draw.
The biggest change, however, is the inclusion of a bonus point for quarter wins.
This new incentive could really change the look of the game.

HOW THE BONUS POINT WORKS
If your team wins the quarter then they win a point.
This is a major incentive for teams to push even harder in every period of play.
Any slacking off and there will really be a price to pay.
This means teams will now be able to collect up to eight ladder points per game - by registering a win and also winning each quarter of their match.
WHAT’S HAPPENING WITH COACHES?
This could be an interesting one. They - or another member of the support staff - will be allowed to roam freely courtside coaching their team.
Previously coaches have been required to stay in their seats while coaching.
The rule will allow netball coaches to walk the sidelines in much the same manner as basketball coaches do.

BREAKS BETWEEN PLAY
You will get a few more minutes to get drinks, food, go to the loo or catch-up with mates this season.
The breaks between quarters have been extended for broadcast purposes.
The first and third break will now be five minutes long (previously four minutes) and the old 12 minute halftime break has been extended to 15 minutes
TIME-OUTS
Another rule that could have a real impact on the game.
Your team is now allowed to request up to two time-out breaks in both halves of the game.
This could significantly change the flow and momentum of games.

UMPIRE CHANGES
