It may have been a season to forget for her Sydney Uni Flames club but Belinda Snell has claimed one final honour before heading into retirement.

The long-serving captain of the Flames and former Opals star played her last game of WNBL on the weekend and made sure it was one to remember.

Her tally of 21 points, which included making six of her 12 three point shots, earned her a spot in the WNBL team of the week.

Snell also contributed seven rebounds, nine assists and three steals in the Flames’ loss to Townsville Fire.

The game also marked the end of multiple MVP winner Suzy Batkovic’s WNBL career.

Snell and Batkovic started their memorable careers together as teenagers at the Australian Institute of Sport.

Snell on Tuesday made her final Team of the Week alongside Abbey Wehrung (Bendigo), Maddie Garrick (Melbourne), Nia Coffey (Adelaide) and Kelsey Griffin (UC Capitals).

Coffey was Player of the Week.
