In a great race for Australia against a world class field, Fox lead home an Aussie one-two on Sunday with Ros Lawrence second ands France’s Lucie Prioux third.
The result was in contrast to her K1 final a day earlier where Fox recorded the fastest time of the day but incurred a 50 second penalty which saw her fall off the podium and down into eighth place.
“I’m happy to have come back for a win,’’ said Fox, the greatest female paddler in history with seven world championship titles.
“It is a morale booster for the year ahead but I also know I am not in my best form yet.
“I know where there is work to do, I see mistakes, places where I can improve.’’
Fox will now enter an extended training period before heading overseas in April for some racing
