BEAT THE BOOKIE: VALUE BETS

ROSEHILL

RAY THOMAS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 04222

DISGRACEFUL

Race 6, No. 4

Disgraceful has returned in really good order this campaign with successive seconds at Rosehill over 1200m and Randwick at 1400m. He hit the line hard when just failing to catch Painte first-up then was third over the line and promoted to second on protest behind the promising Bullrush last start. Disgraceful was unlucky not to have won at Randwick but gets his chance here as he enjoys rain-affected tracks and looks placed to advantage.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.80

STEPHEN ZAMMIT (Daily Telegraph). Form: 321x1

VASSAL

Race 8, No. 8

Was most impressive winning over 2000m at Randwick on May 18, then just edged out when runner-up over the same course and distance last week. Has the best formline in the race and at peak now, and from a good gate sould get a handy run in transit for the recently fully-fledged jockey Rory Hutchings.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80

JOHN DAVIS (Daily Telegraph). Form: 7x342

LOOPHOLE

Race 2, No. 2

Boasts an enviable record at the 2000m trip with four wins, one being at this course. That give him a distinct advantage over this small field. Tough nut to crack.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80

SHAYNE O’CASS (Sportsman). Form: 608x5

OLYMPIC ACADEMY

Race 8, No. 7

This Kris Lees-trained gelding was an eye-catcher at Randwick on May 28 when finishing 0.2-lengths second in an 1800m Bm84. That was his third run in this campaign so you would think that he might be ready to hit a peak now, and from what we know of him, he usually holds his form really well once he finds it.

TAB Fixed Odds: $9

DARREN PRENDERGAST (SuperRacing). Form: 20x10

LOOPHOLE

Race 2, No. 2

Steps up to his favourite distance third-up after a fighting third behind Foreign Prince at Rosehill last start. Excellent chance to turn the tables here.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80

MOONEE VALLEY

MATT STEWART (Herald Sun). Form: 07345

KENJORWOOD

Race 8, No. 1

Good, tough galloper who carries weight. Back to form last start.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.50

DANNY RUSSELL (Herald Sun). Form: 33161

RHYTHM TO SPARE

Race 8, No. 6

Taking a punt that Mike Moroney’s gelding will improve lengths with cut out of the ground. Jake Bayliss on fire for the stable.

TAB Fixed Odds: $21

MICHAEL MANLEY (Herald Sun). Form: 33x46

LAHQA

Race 4, No. 6

Consistent filly who won in good style at Sandown last start. Takes on the older mares but has a nice weight drop especially after two kilos claim for Dylan Dunn. Loves the wet.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.30

NICK QUINN (TAB). Form: 11212

RAW IMPULSE (Scratched)

Race 3, No. 7

Bitterly disappointing last start in Sydney, but take him on his three previous wins.

TAB Fixed Odds: $1.80

SIMON MOY (SuperRacing). Form: 51134

DUKE OF BRUNSWICK

Race 9, No. 8

Drawn to sit just off them and race sets up well to get a decent crack at them at the finish.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4.20

CHRIS VERNUCCIO (SuperRacing). Form: 21520

LAHQA

Race 4, No. 6

Gutsy win carrying 58kg last start. Drops down to 55kg with Dylan Dunn’s claim and will be hard to chase down at the Valley.

TAB fixed odds: $3.30

IPSWICH

NATHAN EXELBY (The Courier-Mail). Form: 25211

CAILLEBOTTE

Race 5, No. 1

Has a nice class edge in this field and will relish the drop in grade. Posted a big win around this circuit four starts back and expect him to have no troubles rounding up this lot.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.80

BRAD DAVIDSON (Gold Coast Bulletin). Form: 33152

HEART OF A WARRIOR

Race 1, No. 3

The five-year-old has been knocking on the door in stronger company of late and he finds a really suitable race here. He is as tough as nails and expect him to lead and run them ragged around Ipswich. Should be hard to toss.

TAB Fixed Odds: $3.30

MARKETS: TAB FIXED ODDS

MORPHETTVILLE

LINCOLN MOORE (The Advertiser). Form: 11x31

MAGNAZONE

Race 3, No. 6

Victorian stayer in good hands who looked good coming off the speed to win smartly back in class last time. He handles the heavy ground and looks very well suited here.

TAB Fixed Odds: $4
