A Melbourne Cup punter has turned $1 into $30,000 in an absurd First 4 bet.
The genius punter bet a single dollar on the ridiculous 30,000-1 long shot on the second race of the day at Flemington.
The punter nailed the correct finishing order of the top four in the 1400m World Horse Racing Desirable Stakes across a field of 12 runners.
The TAB announced the NSW punter correctly selected $41 shot No Restriction to win the race.
The Archie Alexander-trained horse even drifted out from $34 on the day of the race.
The punter then picked Pride Of Jenni, Ripper Rita and Sweet Reply straight out finish second, third and fourth respectively.
The First 4 on the NSW TAB paid a whopping $30,070.10 thanks largely to the favourites Joviality and Twains Express failing to figure in the finish.

Meanwhile, another TAB punter also collected a big win after plonking $10,000 each way on Pride of Jenni.
Pride of Jenni was $12 to win the race.
Earlier, the TAB also had a $5000 punt from a customer on Melbourne Cup runner Twilight Payment at $26. The punter stands to collect $130,000.
It was followed by a series of monster bets on the Cup.
The TAB announced a punter on Tuesday put down a wager of $20,000 on Sir Dragonet at odds of $12. The punter is looking at a collect of $240,000.
Another punter plonked down $10,000 at $7.50 on Aussie horse Surprise Baby.

Channel 10 is covering the Melbourne Cup and has already been panned early in the day, with viewers calling the broadcast “unbearable” and “terrible”.
Various hosts are appearing through live crosses from different locations around the country — but many viewers are unimpressed.
“Hasn’t 2020 been traumatic enough without having Channel 10’s racing coverage imposed on the nation,” one person wrote on Twitter.
“Channel 10’s coverage of the Melbourne Cup absolutely sucks. So terrible. We miss you Bruce and team,” another wrote — referencing beloved sports broadcaster Bruce McAvaney from the Seven network.
