RACING Victoria continued their crackdown on jockeys last night when they suspended four high-profile hoops for careless riding.

Michael Rodd, who will ride Masked Marvel in this afternoon's Cox Plate, was suspended for 10 meetings for causing interference on Queenstown. He will miss the Victoria Derby meeting next Saturday but will be back for the Melbourne Cup on the following Tuesday as his suspension ends on midnight November 4.

Damian Lane was suspended for the same period from the same race for careless riding on Bia Diamond.

In the Manikato Stakes, Dwayne Dunn was suspended for eight meetings, starting tonight, and will be back for the Victoria Derby meeting.

Chad Schofield was suspended for eight meetings beginning tomorrow and ending on Melbourne Cup Eve when he was found guilty of causing interference on Stanzior.

Stewards also reported a post-race endoscopy of Samaready detected a degree of internal exercise-induced pulmonary haemorrhage that may have affected the horse's performance.

She will have to trial before stewards before being cleared to race.
