TITANS hooker Nathan Peats has distanced himself from a possible State of Origin debut, declaring he would not talk about his chances of a NSW call-up.
Peats made his return from a shoulder injury in the Gold Coast’s gutting Good Friday loss to Brisbane and provided instant impact.
The fiery No. 9 has long been touted as a Blues hooker but is yet to earn Origin selection.
The Blues even picked Robbie Farah from reserve grade and are leaning towards retaining him this year despite the fact he has been playing off the bench for the Rabbitohs.
Appearing frustrated with years of speculation about his Origin future, Peats hosed down questions on Wednesday afternoon when asked about his prospects.
“I don’t want to answer Origin questions,” Peats said.
“It’s the same questions every year and same result.
“I’m just happy to be back playing for the Titans to be honest and doing the job in the number nine jersey.”

INJURIES: Titans season is on the brink
When asked if repeatedly missing selection had become frustrating, Peats said: “Nah, I’m fine.”
Peats missed the opening six matches of the NRL season and his return was noticeable for a Gold Coast team lacking defensive starch.
While he doesn’t want to discuss Origin, Peats can present his case for a call up when the Titans tackle Cronulla’s star forward pack on Saturday.
