NRL SuperCoach prices 2025: Josh Schuster, Isaiah Iongi vying for top cheapie

NRL SuperCoach prices are out for 2025 and a Parramatta Eels young gun is being backed as Cheapie of the Year. SEE PRICES AND POSITIONS

2024 SuperCoach NRL Champion wins $50K

It’s not even Christmas but SuperCoach NRL is already popping off.

We have already rolled out a teaser on key positions, a new rule for 2025 and below is a teaser on key prices for 2025.

Also stay tuned for the launch of the Team Picker sometime next week (I’ve been sworn to secrecy on the actual timing), which allows subscribers to see full prices, positions and select a side more than a month ahead of the crowd.

Josh Schuster 2RF $265,100

It’s been a rough few years for Schuster. He didn’t play a single game last year due to both on and off-field issues. He therefore starts at close to basement price. The former Sea Eagle is now at Souths under Wayne Bennett, who is the best in the business at getting the best out of talented, yet troubled, players. The 2RF-only positioning isn’t ideal but you’d be mad not to take a punt. Schuster averaged 61 in 2021 so there is big upside and he’s sure to be one of the most popular players in round one 2025.

Isaiah Iongi FLB $232,600

Like Schuster, Iongi also has claims at becoming the most popular cheapie of 2025. The talented young gun has made the switch from Penrith to Parramatta and is set to start at fullback in place of Clint Gutherson (Dragons).

Peter Mamouzelos HOK $302,900

Becomes the top hooker at South Sydney following the exit of Damien Cook (Dragons). Set for a significant rise in output after averaging just 31 minutes last year.

Campbell Graham CTW $505,600

Graham averaged almost 70 in 2023 and was a must-have. He peaked in price at $801,000 that year (albeit in a far better South Sydney side). But he starts a fair way under that in 2025 due to a serious sternum injury that saw him play no games last year.

James Tedesco FLB $920,200

Not exactly a bargain, but he’s on this list to point out that he’s the most expensive player in SuperCoach this year. Also, with the addition of the brand new Flex rule, running three gun fullbacks is a genuine option and Teddy is the best of the best based on last year’s stats.

Lachlan Ilias HFB $348,500

Only played two games last year before being dropped and then suffering a serious leg injury in NSW Cup. He therefore starts at a discount of $80,000 on his starting price. Now at the Dragons, Ilias is set to start at halfback in place of Ben Hunt (Broncos).

Tom Gilbert 2RF $462,000

Missed all of last year with an ACL injury and therefore starts at a discount of $140,000 on his 2024 starting price. Backing players returning from ACL injuries is fraught with danger, especially under a new coach, but there is definite room for improvement.

Mark Nawaqanitawase CTW $438,600

The exits of Joseph-Aukuso Sua’ali’i, Joseph Manu and Michael Jennings leave huge gaps in the Roosters’ backline and the former Wallaby is set to benefit. ‘Marky Mark’ scored 64 in his only game last year so appears significant unders at such a good club.

Isaiah Papalii 2RF $585,500

After a rough few years at cellar dwellers the Tigers, Papalii is now a star recruit at four-time premiers the Panthers. Can he return to his 2022 average of almost 80? It’s a tough ask but he’s certainly underpriced.

Zac Laybutt CTW $389,600

Scored two tries on his season debut last season and smashed the eye test. But he did his ACL soon after and therefore starts at a discount. Valentine Holmes and Kyle Fledt have left the Cowboys so backline slots are up for grabs and Laybutt is a favourite to score a centre spot.

Kulikefu Finefeuiaki 2RF $368,200

Kulikefu Finefeuiaki is moving south to the Dolphins, and with the likes of Euan Aitken and others leaving the club, there’s a big opportunity for him to claim a starting spot on the edge. If he can fill Aitken’s shoes, Finefeuiaki could easily double his current price. Aitken averaged 55 points in 80 minutes this season, and while Finefeuiaki’s numbers are currently half that, he’s got the potential to match Aitken’s output with more minutes.
