FIJI are off to the World Cup semi-finals after knocking off New Zealand 4-2 in a tryless game in Wellington.
IT’S our final double-header of the World Cup. Like the Hunter Mariners, all good things must come to an end.
In the opener, Lebanon have taken it to pre-match favourites Tonga and are right in this at halftime. At 22-16 there’s just a converted try between the two teams as they fight for a semi-final berth. Once the dust has settled in Christchurch action will stay in the Land of the Long White Cloud with New Zealand hosting Fiji in Wellington from 5.30pm AEDT. After they copped a few from the Mate Ma’a’s finest the Kiwis will be champing at the bit to make amends and the Bati have been in red-hot form all tournament. Sit back, relax, break out the kava, cause we’ve got all the World Cup news that’s fit to blog right here.
