WADE Graham’s season is over with Cronulla’s worst fears realised after the Sharks co-captain ruptured his ACL Saturday night.
Graham limped from the field after just 13 minutes during Cronulla’s 21-12 loss to the Roosters at Allianz Stadium.

The backrower was attempting to collect a Cooper Cronk grubber and collided with Isaac Liu before spilling the ball in the lead up to a Roosters try.
“That happens in footy games, you lose players,” coach Shane Flanagan said.
“He did it about six weeks ago, a grade one medial strain.”
It has been an injury plagued 2018 for Graham who has struggled to spend large chunks of time on the field. He has been restricted to just 18 games.
Former Sharks teammate described the injury as “tragic”.
“He has been a big part of their late season surge,” Ennis said at halftime on Fox League last night.
Scott Sorensen is the likely replacement for Graham ahead of Cronulla’s elimination finals match against Penrith on Friday night.
* Penrith’s James Maloney aggravated a neck problem but will be right for next week, with the aid of painkillers. “I’ve got an issue with a neck joint and it keeps aggravating every week,” Maloney said after the match.
* Rabbitohs halfback Adam Reynolds (shoulder) suffered an AC joint injury against the Storm but will play next week.
* South Sydney captain Greg Inglis (bruised ribs) was in serious pain following the match against Melbourne but says he is a certain starter next week.
* David Fifita (ankle) and Joe Ofahengaue (concussion) failed to finish for the Broncos, while Alex Glenn (calf) was a pre-game withdrawal for the Broncos. Glenn was named in the starting side but failed to participate in Saturday’s captain’s run at Red Hill, with the former Kiwi Test back-rower restricted to light duties in the gym with strapping around his calf.
* Roosters prop Siosiua Taukeiaho (ankle) was forced from the field after just seven minutes. Scans have confirmed he sustained an ankle lateral ligament sprain. “It’s expected that he will be fully fit for our preliminary finals match to be played the week prior to the NRL grand final. The remaining squad members made it through the match without injury concern and will all be available for selection in the preliminary final,” the Roosters said in a statement.
* Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (knee) could miss New Zealand’s Test against Australia in Auckland on October 13. New Zealand then play four Tests in a tour of Europe. “At this stage, it looks like a medial. But we need to get some scans first thing on Monday,” said Warriors coach Stephen Kearney.
* James Graham (concussion), Gareth Widdop (shoulder) and Jack De Belin (ankle) failed to finish for the Dragons. Euan Aitken (hamstring) and Jason Nightingale (elbow) were pre-game withdrawals.
* Latrell Mitchell won’t play again until the grand final unless he fights a crusher tackle charge and wins at the judiciary.
