Langer Cup: Final to Townsville, semis in Brisbane as crowds allowed back
Townsville is set to host the state-wide schoolboy rugby league grand final next month, while crowds will be allowed back for the Langer Cup semi-finals to be staged at Langslands Cup next week.

Townsville is set to host the state-wide schoolboy rugby league grand final to be played between the winners of the Langer Cup and Payne Cup competitions.
Langslands Cup has also been confirmed for next week’s Langer Cup semi-finals, with the decider also to be played in Brisbane.
Queensland schools rugby league chair Andrew Peach confirmed the state final, played between the Langer Cup and Payne Cup premiers, was bound for FNQ.

Teams will be playing for the Phil Hall Cup. Hall has been the long-term co-ordinator of the Payne and Langer Cups, which are sponsored by the North Queensland Cowboys and Brisbane Broncos respectfully.
“At this stage it is looking likely that the Phil Hall Cup (Queensland grand final) will be held in North Queensland,’’ Peach said.
In relation to next week’s Langer semi-finals, Peach added: “At this stage crowds will be allowed, but COVID will dictate this with changes possible up until kick off.
