Star utility Jeziah Papa has helped resurrect Patrician Brothers Fairfield’s Peter Mulholland Cup finals dreams.
Papa, who was moved into the centres in a Frank Pritchard coaching masterstroke, was unstoppable as Patrician Brothers shocked rivals Farrer MAHS in the 34-4 win.

The win has helped Patrician Brothers reignite their season, leap-frogging Farrer MAHS into second place on for and against.
The Fairfield side will now pay close attention to this afternoon’s Pool C clash between Hunter Sports High and Endeavour Sports High.
A win or a draw for Hunter Sports High will end Patrician Brothers College’s season.
But for now they can bask in the brilliance of their skilful centre.
Papa, who is the school’s sole representative at next month’s ASSRL National Championships, scored two long-range efforts in the first half to set up the big win.
The first came out of nothing, with the quick-footed teenager powering his way through two would-be tacklers on his own 20m line, before sprinting away untouched.
The second came off the work of halfback Luke Tieberti who had a cracking first half, setting up two tries including one to blockbuster centre Max Afualo off a towering midfield bomb.
Farrer managed a momentary fight back on the stroke of halftime through proud prop Zachary Milsom, but it was short-lived.
Two tries in five minutes after the break all but sealed the victory for the Patrician Brothers side.
Afualo was impressive on the left edge, while the captaincy did not look out of place on barnstorming backrower Soul Tuiletfuga who kept punishing the Farrer MAHS defence.
PREVIEW
Fresh off their first win of Peter Mulholland Cup season, Farrer Memorial AHS is hoping the mentality of “weathering the storm” will aid their charge towards a second straight victory when they face Patrician Brothers College Fairfield on Wednesday.
After a tough start to the Schoolboys season with a 40-4 loss to Endeavour Sports High, Farrer responded strongly in round 2 to produce a 36-6 victory over Hunter SHS.
Built largely off the back off a strong second-half performance, head coach Peter Stevens is hoping they can replicate that against Fairfield in what shapes as a must-win game.
The round 3 battle will be available live and exclusive on KommunityTV from 11am.
“The boys go all right if we can play our style of footy,” Stevens said.
“If we can play some good structured footy and create (opportunities), which is going to help.
“We just need to probably continue to wear sides out a bit and hang in there long enough, weather the storm if you will.
“That’s got to be us all the time because we do give away some size to the bigger sides so we just have to weather the storm for as long as that storm goes.
“I thought we did that well against Endeavour, especially in the second-half. In the first-half, we shot ourselves in the foot with a bit of ill-discipline. We had four penalties that we probably could have avoided and a couple of dropped balls.
“Endeavour did well to strangle us in that first-half but it was good to see the boys play their style of footy in the second half and the most pleasing factor for me was that they were able to go on with it.”
Ryan forecast just one change to Wednesday’s side and highlighted front rower Zach Milsom, captain Dusty Wyrzykowski and Leif Dietrich as three players that had impressed so far this season.
