Two Victorian sides continued their unbeaten runs, while the recovery of the day goes to Northern NSW U16s who scored five unanswered goals in a dominant second half. Relive all the action.

Hosts Victoria enjoyed a cracking day on Field 5 with important victories in both the U15 and U16 age groups at the National Youth Championships.

After a 6-1 hammering of Queensland Silver on Wednesday, Victoria Blue U15s followed it up with another attacking masterclass, this time putting four goals past Northern NSW.

Alexis Pantazopoulos took her tournament goal tally to four with another double as the Vics built on an early lead to stay unbeaten. They finish their preliminary games on Friday against South Australia.

Later in the day, Victoria U16s edged out South Australia 2-1 on the back of goals from Alice Francou and Chelsea Biggs. They are also undefeated after beating Queensland Maroon in one of the best games of the tournament so far on Wednesday,

Recovery of the day goes to Northern NSW U16s, who found themselves 1-0 down at halftime before rallying spectacularly to beat Capital Football 5-1.

Alexis Collins and Natalia O’Driscoll both scored braces to inspire the fightback and get Northern NSW back into the winners’ column after their narrow defeat to Queensland Silver.

The impressive NSW Metro followed up their 11-0 dismissal of WA with another four goals in a win over Queensland Silver. Eliza Familton grabbed a double.

NSW Country will be determined to double down on a brilliant start to the National Youth Championships when they clash with a dangerous Queensland Maroon side.

The Country darlings, led by Wagga Wagga sisters Alethea and Allyana Levy, were strong in defence in their opening round win over South Australia.

They will need all of that defensive stoush and more to stop a rampaging Queensland Maroons side who put seven goals past Tasmania on day one.

The clash will headline the Field 5 action on day two at the Home of the Matildas which includes five games across the Under-15 and Under-16 tournaments.

The Maroons scored a blistering 10 goals in two games on the opening day, with striker Lily Punch scoring five of them.

But a 4-3 loss to Victoria could weigh heavily on the Queenslanders in the run to the Under-16s finals later in the week.

NSW Metro is another goal hungry side looking to keep up their fast start to the tournament when they take on Queensland Silver.

Mackenzie Jeffs booted five goals in a game for the defending champions as they scored a massive 11-goal win over Western Australia on Wednesday.
