A double overtime thriller between the boys from Queensland North and NSW Metro highlighted the day three action on Court 6 in Bendigo.

The Queenslanders eventually prevailed 96-93 in a roller coaster contest behind 18 points from Keenan Lawrence-Williams.

Kingston Tutani, of NSW Metro, led all comers in the thriller with 23 points and 14 boards.

South Australia Country’s Daisy Hocking was another player to produce a strong showing throughout the day.

She dropped 26 points on 7-16 shooting in her side’s big win over the ACT.

DAY THREE PREVIEW

The country’s northern raiders might be well and truly out of their climate, but it hasn’t stopped them heating things up on the court.

Queensland North - who picked up wins in both their boys and girls tournament openers - will light up the action on Court 6 on Monday.

Queensland North’s boys side will clash with an impressive NSW Metro boys side, while the girls will close out the day’s action against Northern Territory.

NOTE: Due to an earlier game going to double overtime, the 6pm match is running a little behind.

Townsville young gun Clara Kolb lit up the tournament on Sunday, hitting 8-10 field goals including two from deep to finish with 20 points in a big win over hosts Vic Country. She will be key for the Queenslander’s offence alongside Townsville teammate Macey Lahrs.

Vicotria Country’s girls will aim to bounce back from their tough loss to the Queenslanders when they face a dangerous SA Metro.

South Australia’s Isobelle Purdie has shown her ability to change a game off the bench, and the home side will need to be on red alert.
