BEST BET
VARANE (Race 8 No.2 – $4)
Varane got back and had no luck when close-up at Seymour last time. He’s unbeaten over 1300m and can bounce back.
NEXT BEST
KISSED EARTH (Race 1 No.7 – $4.80)
Kissed Earth drew poorly on this track third-up but still chased well. She’ll be at peak fitness now and can go one better.
MOGADISHU (Race 5 No.11 – $9.50)
Mogadishu looks ready to win after a luckless outing at Bendigo. He rises in class but will be fitter for three runs this time in.
VALUE BET
TOFF CHOICE (Race 7 No.6 – $18)
Toff Choice was solid on the synthetic first-up but has a liking for soft turf tracks. He could improve significantly at Sandown.
THE JOCKEY
Jockey Jamie Kah has five rides at Wednesday’s Sandown Lakeside meeting. TYCOONETTE (Race 1 No.10 – $5), HURRICANE GEORGIE (Race 2 No.12 – $7), SWEET JASMINE (Race 4 No.8 – $4.60), ALCABEEL (Race 6 No.10 – $6), CHEVAL CHIC (Race 7 No.11 – $4).
