“Everybody has a plan until they get punched in the mouth,” Mike Tyson once said.

But now the legendary fighter is helping devise plans for others, tutoring unbeaten Aussie Brock Jarvis ahead of his big bout at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

Jarvis’ trainer, Australian boxing icon Jeff Fenech, arranged a meeting in Los Angeles with Tyson looking fit in a pink skivvy 15 years after the end of his professional career.

“It was a great moment,” Jarvis said from LA.

Fenech trained Tyson in 2003 and the pair have remained friends.

Jarvis, who fights in Sydney on March 21, was in the US for a pre-fight training camp.

“Brock was super excited to meet Mike and we told some old stories. ‘The GOAT’ and I had plenty of laughs,” Fenech said.

Jarvis, 17-0 with 15 knockouts, will confront Venezuelan fighter Christian Avila in a super bantamweight bout.

Avila has won nine of his past 11 fights by knockout and fought nearly 150 bouts as an amateur.

“This guy is very good and, without a doubt, this will be Brock’s toughest fight,” Fenech said.

“We have been training in every city we go to in America. We have boxed every day. This will be a big fight.”

The Jarvis-Avila fight will be the main event and shown live on Fox Sports. Jarvis signed with New Zealand promoter Dean Lonergan last year.
