Dana White throws the biggest punch in Floyd Mayweather-Logan Paul fight

Dana White landed a punch more powerful than anything we saw on Monday by tearing Floyd Mayweather’s fight vs Logan Paul to shreds.

Logan Paul responds after conspiracy erupts surrounding his fight with Mayweather

UFC president Dana White has savaged the sideshow that was Floyd Mayweather’s fight against Logan Paul, mocking anyone “stupid” enough to buy the pay-per-view.

The boxing bout in Miami was widely slammed as no winner was crowned after eight three-minute rounds, because it was an exhibition clash without judges. There were also accusations Mayweather helped keep Paul from falling after a brutal right hook — something the YouTuber denied.

White has been vocal in his criticism of Paul’s brother Jake, a fellow social media star who counts ex-UFC fighter Ben Askren among his victims after making the move into the boxing ring.

And the UFC boss doesn’t hold much of an opinion about Logan either, taking aim at the event that pitted the 26-year-old against a professional with a 50-0 record.

“That wasn’t a f***ing boxing match,” White told UFC Arabia. “Like I said before, there’s always going to be a market for that kind of stuff. There’s always going to be people that are willing to put down $50 to watch that kind of stuff.

“That’s so far away (from what the UFC does).

“Think about this — imagine if Kim Kardashian wanted to fight (UFC star) Amanda Nunes. How big do you think that fight would be? It would be huge. It would be the biggest but give me a f***ing break.”

White wasn’t surprised the main event didn’t live up to the hype.

“It’s exactly what boxing has always been,” White said. “You create this energy around a fight where you’re like, ‘Oh this (is exciting)’ and then you watch it and then you turn the TV off and go, ‘I just wasted another evening, I should have went out and did something else’.

“I don’t ever want people feeling like that when they turn the TV off watching some of our fights.

“You’re going to have the fans, you’ll have a card one night and they’ll be like, ‘This card, blah, blah, blah’. Then you watch the card and the card is unbelievable. You get at least two, three or four great fights that probably didn’t expect. Then when you turn the TV off, you’re glad you watched it.

“That’s the product that I sell. That’s what I’m into.”

As little as White thinks about the showdown between Mayweather and Paul, there’s a begrudging acceptance that if people are willing to part with their hard-earned cash to watch them, the star attractions would do well to keep the money rolling in.

“I’m not trying to s**t on these other guys,” White said. “Listen, if you’ve got people that are stupid enough to spend that kind of money, you deserve to take those dummies’ money. They deserve it.

“The guys who went out and fought and got you to pay $50, they deserve your money. You’re stupid.”
