FORWARDS
Jack White was the first player picked in the consensus squad after featuring in all six expert teams. He is back at Melbourne United after a stint in the NBA that included being part of a championship squad at the Denver Nuggets and should score well above his price point.
Lachie Olbrich appeared in four expert teams after starring at the NBL Blitz pre-season tournament and wins a spot on the bench – where 50 per cent of scores count towards your weekly total in SuperCoach NBL.
The first premium slot was a toss of the coin between Tasmania’s Will Magnay and Sydney Kings star Xavier Cooks, with the JackJumpers and Boomers star getting the nod due to his dual-position eligibility.
Exciting 19-year-old Alex Toohey wins the final bench spot, edging out Sydney Kings teammate Keli Leaupepe.

CENTRES
An easy position to fill with two players dominating selection across our expert squads.
Cameron Oliverhad the highest SuperCoach average at the NBL Blitz and is a strong captain candidate for round 1.
Rocco Zikarsky takes a spot on the bench. The Brisbane Bullets Next Star is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and his incredible value overrules concerns about the Bullets’ schedule – they don’t have a double-game week until round 9.
He was a clear favourite for this slot, although Perth Next Star Izan Almansa had his fans at $115k.
GUARDS
A more even spread of votes here, with 10 different players appearing in these four spots in our experts’ teams.
Ben Henshall was the only player, other than Jack White, to appear in every expert squad. He had a fantastic Blitz and although there are still some question marks about how many minutes he will play in the regular season, at just $69,000 he doesn’t need many to make money. Illawarra’s Will Hickey was another popular bench pick, featuring in four of six expert teams.
Three of our experts like Adelaide 36ers import Kendric Davis, who made an instant impact at the Blitz and has double-game weeks in rounds 3 and 4.
Melbourne United’s schedule is even better, with doubles in rounds 2 and 3, which helps explain the popularity of value pick Shea Ili.
Other forwards selected by experts who didn’t make the consensus side include Derrick Walton Jr, Matthew Dellavedova, Casey Prather and Joe Wieskamp.
One name that surprisingly didn’t feature at all was Bryce Cotton, the highest-scoring player in SuperCoach NBL last season. His high price tag of $448,500 makes him tricky to squeeze in, but coaches who can find the cash could reap the rewards, especially if they make him their round 1 captain – he has the highest projected score in the competition.
