THE AFL is on track to reap more than $350,000 from its players this season for offences deemed insufficient to warrant suspensions, more than $100,000 more than the previous season high.

Dogs win but Blues show future is bright

WESTERN Bulldogs needed a last quarter surge to finally overrun Carlton in the final term thanks to some brilliance from Marcus Bontempelli and Josh Dunkley but there was enough on show for the Blues to suggest things might not be as bad as they seem.

Dogs skipper wants Wallis to stay

WESTERN Bulldogs father-son Mitch Wallis has attracted interest from Brisbane and Essendon but his captain says “it wouldn’t feel right” seeing his teammate in different colours next year.
