BAROMETER: INJURY LIST AND EXPERT SELECTION ANALYSIS
RAGE TRADES: LAST CHANCE TO DUMP SUPERCOACH SPUDS
TOM HAWKINS ($519,000, Fwd)
The Tomahawk has not only been in ripping form - averaging 114 in his past five - the Cats spearhead faces lowly Gold Coast at the Cattery in Grand Final week. Jack Riewoldt bagged 10 goals and 229 points a fortnight ago.
BEN BROWN ($343,300, Fwd)
This is perhaps the biggest hail mary of the year but hear us out. North Melbourne have nothing to play for except helping Brown claim the Coleman Medal. The Kangaroos will be looking for the big Tasmanian at every opportunity and St Kilda’s defence is undermanned.
JOSH DUNKLEY ($563,500, Fwd)
There have been few hotter players in the AFL than Dunkley over the past month. The Dogs midfielder is a tackling machine and racked up 36 touches against Carlton for 157 points. That’s 147, 132, 106 and 157 in the past month.
SAM MENEGOLA ($539,600, Mid-Fwd)
Much like Hawkins, we’re backing Menegola to stack the stat sheet against Gold Coast on Saturday afternoon. The Cats star hasn’t dropped below 100 since Round 17 (114, 100, 144, 119, 112). In Round 11 at Metricon Stadium, he scored 110.
TAYLOR ADAMS ($526,100, Mid)
The Pie had early season injury trouble but has been on fire in the second half of the season. Adams has reached triple figures nine times in the past 11 games and averages 114 in his past five games. Collingwood face a vulnerable Fremantle in Perth.
JACK GUNSTON ($504,800, Fwd)
The Hawks are running at full steam and Gunston is one of the stars leading the way. The swingman averages 122 in his past three after scoring 138, 88 and 140. The only word of caution we’d suggest is Dane Rampe could get the shutdown job.
