Port Adelaide news: Power defender Kane Farrell set for knee surgery, out 4-6 weeks

Already licking their wounds after a brutal Showdown defeat to the Crows, Port Adelaide are set to be without one of their key defensive pieces for an extended period.

Port Adelaide defender Kane Farrell will spend the next four to six weeks on the sidelines after scans revealed he required knee surgery.

Already licking its wounds after a thrilling Showdown loss the Power will now lose Farrell – important to its ball movement off half-back – for at least a month.

Farrell complained of knee soreness towards the end of the Power’s loss to Adelaide on Saturday night and scans have revealed that he needs a clean out of his knee.
