Port Adelaide news: Power defender Kane Farrell set for knee surgery, out 4-6 weeks

Port Adelaide defender Kane Farrell will spend the next four to six weeks on the sidelines after he had to have knee surgery.
Already licking its wounds after a thrilling Showdown loss the Power will now lose Farrell – important to its ball movement off half-back – for at least a month.
Farrell complained of knee soreness and discomfort towards the end of the Power’s loss to Adelaide on Saturday night.
Scans revealed that he had to have an arthroscope to clean out the joint and the 26-year-old went under the knife on Tuesday.
He is set to begin rehab in the coming days and is expected to be out for four to six weeks.
But in some good news for the Power, forward Jack Lukosius is expected to be available for selection within the next three weeks after his knee injury in Round 2 against Richmond.
Over at West Lakes, Adelaide key defender Nick Murray is in line to resume running next week after an arthroscope of his own, while midfielder Matt Crouch could progress to running on an Alter-G treadmill next week as he recovers from his hip injury.
Forward Lachie Murphy will miss this weekend, after sitting out last week, with a minor hamstring tendon injury.
