Brad Hill is officially up for grabs, with Victorian clubs believing they can secure the slashing midfielder.

The Herald Sun revealed last month Fremantle’s Hill had asked the Hawks about a potential trade last year that never got off the ground.

But he clearly has intent to move home this season or next year, with his partner keen to return to Melbourne where they will eventually set up a family.

Hill has been one of Fremantle’s most damaging midfielder this year, with awesome running power as he averaged 24.6 possessions per game.

He has two years remaining on a five-season deal, with his manager Colin Young speaking to clubs this week in Melbourne about his services.

TRADE HQ: HAWKS FACING SOME BIG CALLS

Hawthorn is out of the race but clubs like St Kilda and Geelong are interested, which could mean Kelly helps broker a Tim Kelly deal if both players eventually ask for a trade.

The Dockers have a lengthy list of players out of contract who are yet to commit.

The league released a list of revised free agents (see below) after rule changes that mean any previously delisted player or previous free agent now becomes a free agent again once out of contract.

Richmond’s Brandon Ellis put off contract talks until late in the year at the start of the season and remains one of the quality free agents on the market.

He is little chance of securing a contract at Richmond anywhere near what he would be paid by Victorian rivals keen to secure a player with excellent disposal and solid rebound.

He has enjoyed one of his most consistent years after being dropped twice this year, his management likely to park his deal until year’s end given the Tigers lack of cap space and his improving form.

Players including James Frawley, Scott Selwood and Dale Thomas are free agents again after previously moving clubs under free agency provisions.
