AFL teams: See all the ins and outs for Round 6, 2020
Tom Lynch looked all but certain to miss Richmond’s clash against Sydney but his recovery and bravery to play through injury has stunned the Tigers. Check out the final Round 6 teams.

Tom Lynch is set to take on Sydney days after surgery on a broken hand.
Richmodncoach Damien Hardwick said that Lynch had gone from unlikely to an excellent chance to play after getting through most of Friday’s training session.
Lynch injured his hand only two minutes into the contest against Melbourne and played without painkillers.
SCROLL DOWN FOR FINAL ROUND 6 TEAMS
Now, as the Tigers bring in reinforcements, at least Hardwick can shift Lynch’s name back onto his whiteboard.
“He did the vast majority of the session, which surprised me. He exceeded expectations so he’s gone from doubtful to probable to play. He is incredibly brave and tough. We are looking forward to him possibly pulling the boots on come Sunday,” he said.
Riley Collier-Dawkins missed out on a debut, named as an emergency for Sunday’s game as Shai Bolton and Derek Eggmolesse-Smith return to the team. Jack Graham, Ivan Soldo and Marlion Pickett are the other ins as the Tigers try to cover a long injury oilst.
Trent Cotchin will miss two weeks with a hamstring injury, with the injury minor but his injury history counting against a quicker return.
The Swans made three changes, with Justin McInerney dropped on Friday afternoon.
Collingwood and Hawthorn will both have two fresh faces in their clash, with Atu Bosenavulagu and Will Kelly to play their first games for the Magpies and Josh Morris and Will Day included for Hawthorn.
Dashing half back flanker Isaac Quaynor has also been named for his first game of the season in place of star goal kicker Jordan De Goey (unavailable), Josh Daicos (ankle) and Tyler Brown.
It means spearhead Mason Cox has kept his spot despite another quiet game, gathering two possessions, in the loss to Essendon last week.
Harry Morrison will also return as well as spearhead Jon Patton after recovering from an usual foot injury suffered during a cooking incident.
Mitch Lewis (hamstring), Jack Scrimshaw (ankle), Shaun Burgoyne (rested) and Harry Jones have made way.
Meanwhile, Fremantle captain Nat Fyfe has been named to face St Kilda after only missing one week with a hamstring injury.
Elsewhere,Melbourne coach Simon Goodwin has recalled speedster Harley Bennell and young forward Sam Weideman to help fix their poor forward connection.
Off-season recruit Adam Tomlinson was one of four players to be dropped for the clash against Gold Coast on Saturday night alongside Joel Smith, first-year defender Trent Rivers and Jayden Hunt.
But the club has again overlooked veteran Nathan Jones who was named as an emergency.
Bennell was axed after playing one game against Carlton in round 2 but has been promoted back into the team for his silken ball use and damaging running game.
Bennell had 14 touches in the win over the Blues but there were queries over his fitness levels and defensive attributes.
Weideman will also play his first game for the year and will be expected to help provide a second marking target alongside Tom McDonald.
Weideman kicked only 11 goals from 11 games last year but has a golden opportunity Saturday night against the Suns to help cement his position in the senior side after being picked in favour of first-year big man Luke Jackson.
Defenders Neville Jetta and Oscar McDonald have also been welcomed back into the side as Melbourne searches for its second win of the season.
‘PIG’ PURGED FROM POWER SIDE
— Liz Walsh
Port Adelaide has dropped veteran midfielder Tom Rockliff for Sunday afternoon’s clash with the Giants at Metricon Stadium on the back of poor form over the past fortnight.
In Round 4 Rockliff had 19 disposals and one clearance in the Power’s 48-point win over West Coast, and the following week notched up 14 disposals and two clearances in the 37-point loss to Brisbane.
While there has been lingering speculation about Rockliff’s fitness based on his injured finger, coach Ken Hinkley said the former Brisbane skipper had been dropped because his form wasn’t “quite at the level we need”.
“Noone’s immune from selection issues and if your form’s not up to it you can lose your spot in the side ... we made a decision based on Tom’s form over the last two or three weeks that he’s not been at the level we need,” Hinkley said.
“He’s a stoppage player for us and he needs to influence the game around the ball.
“Certainly last week (in the 37-point loss to Brisbane), we were beaten up badly around the ball, Tom was only one part of that.
“Tom’s aware that his form has not been at the level he needs to be in the position he plays.”
Port expects to make two changes to the side that lost to Brisbane, with Riley Bonner making way for defender Ryan Burton – who is returning from a knee injury – should he pass a fitness test on Saturday.
Hinkley said Cam Sutcliffe would come into the team for Rockliff.
RANKINE READY FOR AFL DEBUT
— Simeon Thomas-Wilson
As South Australia’s Under 18 coach Tony Bamford got asked the question on numerous occasions – who’s a better prospect Jack Lukosius or Izak Rankine?
“I always said Izak’s small, Jack’s tall you take your pick,” Bamford said.
“I couldn’t split them really.
“The only way I did in the end was that Jack will probably give you a bit more consistency early, but you could counter that by saying Izak could win you a grand final if you get there.”
The 2018 AFL Draft will go down in history as one of the best after the starts players such as No. 1 pick Sam Walsh, Lukosius (No. 2), Max King (No. 4), Connor Rozee (No. 5), Bailey Smith (No. 7) and Tarryn Thomas (No. 8) have made to their careers.
And the player widely considered as the most talented of that draft class hasn’t even played yet – although this will change when No. 3 pick Rankine debuts for Gold Coast against Melbourne on Saturday.
A SANFL debut for West Adelaide at just 16, and likened to Adelaide great Andrew McLeod in the way he plays, the hype has been around Rankine for years.

An outstanding Under 18s national carnival as a 17-year-old further increased the hype and in his final year in the SA underage program his performance for the Croweaters in their championship-clinching win over Vic Metro – five goals and 17 disposals – put him in the mix to go No. 1.
“It was almost like he was saving himself for the big show,” Bamford said.
But hamstring and hip injuries meant he didn’t get a chance at AFL level last year, and made him wait for his chance in 2020.
Bamford said this actually may be a positive for the talented forward who was always playing each week in Adelaide.
“And the fact he has to wait for it is going to be good for Izak, it would have been a long time for Izak to have been waiting to be picked because he has always played above himself in SA,” he said.
“It would have challenged him sitting out and watching games and he would have seen what people like Sam Walsh and Jack Lukosius would have done in their first years.
“That would have lit a fire in his belly and he will be hellbent on coming out and showing the AFL world he is good as those two and Connor Rozee.
“Even sitting back now and watching what Matthew Rowell has done at Gold Coast in his first few games Izak would be wanting to have a similar impact as to what he had I would imagine.”
STENGLE BACK FOR CROWS AFTER SERVING DRINK-DRIVING BAN
— Simeon Thomas-Wilson
Tyson Stengle has slotted straight back into the Adelaide Crows senior side after serving a club-imposed sanction for a drink driving offence.
The exciting small forward has been unavailable for the Crows’ last four games after being caught behind the wheel with a blood alcohol reading of 0.125 in April.
Stengle comes in for Lachie Murphy who was suspended for one match after committing a dangerous tackle in the dying moments of the Crows’ loss to Fremantle on Sunday.
Young defender Andrew McPherson will make his debut for the match against West Coast on Saturday after overcoming years of injury troubles since he arrived at West Lakes.
The No.40 pick in the 2017 draft will be the Crows fifth debutant of the season.
Stengle and McPherson are two of inclusions the Crows will make as they seek to claim a first win over 2020.
Veteran David Mackay and No.6 draft pick from last year Fischer McAsey also come into the team.
Former captain Taylor Walker will miss after the decision was made for him to try and get on top of a nagging knee injury while Myles Poholke and Ben Crocker have been omitted - the latter could consider himself stiff though after 14 disposals and eight marks against the Dockers.
Despite Walker missing, as well as Darcy Fogarty, the Crows have decided to not go with tall forward Elliot Himmelberg to add some height to their forward line.
And Bryce Gibbs still can’t get back in the side, not even listed as an emergency.
After claiming their first win since entering the hub last week the Eagles have made two changes.
Captain Luke Shuey and Jarmaine Jones are both injured and will be replaced by Brayden Ainsworth and Jarrod Cameron.
BURTON BACK AS HOUSTON PREPARES FOR MIDFIELD RETURN
— Liz Walsh
Port Adelaide defender Ryan Burton has recovered from a knee injury that has kept him out of the side since Round 2, and has been named in the team’s extended 26-man squad to face Greater Western Sydney on Sunday.
His inclusion means defensive midfielder Dan Houston is preparing for more game time in the midfield, where he has reinvented himself this season before being sent back to plug Burton’s role.
Houston said he was willing to play whichever position he was required to.
“I’ve enjoyed playing mid … a bit closer to the ball … (but) I’m happy to play any role, whether that be mid or back,” he said.
Burton was one of four players added into the extended squad, alongside ruckman Peter Ladhams and utilities Sam Mayes and Cam Sutcliffe, with the final 22 to be named on Friday afternoon.
