Toxic feminism hits a new low

IN the wake of #metoo, a new book called How to Destroy A Man Now has been published. The malevolent manual marks rock bottom for man-hating feminists, writes Miranda Devine.

QandA: How do we deal with sexual harassment without alienating men

SINCE women in the West have achieved pretty much every bit of equality they want, and then some, the feminist movement has started to morph in ugly directions to stay relevant.

Rather than helping women, mutant strands of feminism are turning psychopathic.

Take the new man-hating book, “How to Destroy A Man Now”.

Written by someone calling herself Dr. Angela Confidential, “a business psychologist, consultant, and human resource professional” it is billed as a handbook which “empowers women with a step-by-step guide for destroying a man’s reputation and removing him from power.”

It “unveils and details practical real-world methods for leveraging allegations, media, and authorities to dethrone a man from power. “

The very thing for the #metoo age.

Some of the advice in the book is downright scary. For instance, one passage describes how to bring down a boss with false sexual assault allegations.

“Setting up a formal meeting with a random employee to claim you’ve been raped by your manager will likely cause that coworker to become uncomfortable and pass responsibility onto HR prematurely, either by going to HR directly or encouraging you to do so, In contrast, however, saying something more subtly to a work friend during lunch such as “I’m dreading my next meeting with my manager; I always catch him looking at my breasts”, is far more effective, especially if the work friend is an opinion leader and/or has a high level status in the company.

“A comment phrased and delivered in that manner can fuel gossip that will spread your claim and garner its acceptance company-wide.”

This is just evil.

If anyone thinks such duplicitous behaviour is going to benefit women, they haven’t lived long in the real world. Male or female, people are just people, and treating other people unjustly and malevolently eventually will hurt you as much as them and will undermine the bonds of trust between us all.

So on International Women’s Day, today, why don’t we stop kibitzing about ourselves and pay tribute to all the wonderful men in our lives.
