Burgess molehill has been turned into a mountain

IF the sight of a nude footballer distresses you then why invite yourself into the virtual locker room after a game, asks Miranda Devine.

Rabbitohs star Sam Burgess breaks silence about alleged lewd video chat

LEAVE Sam Burgess alone.

The Rabbitohs star has been vilified after allegations from a 23-year-old woman that he and other players exposed themselves in nude videos from his Facebook account making her feel “violated and uncomfortable”.

The unnamed woman says she contacted Burgess via Instagram when the players were out celebrating after their big win over the Warriors in May.

She then engaged in a series of FaceTime videochats with the players in a restaurant and later in a hotel room where at least two players exposed their bare bottoms, genitals and nude torsos.

They may have been acting like juveniles, but if the sight of a nude footballer distresses you then why invite yourself into the virtual locker room after a game?

Everyone knows the players are cutting loose and releasing their inhibitions at that point after a big game, and the exhibitionists among them may even go so far as to take off their clothes.

Big deal. Turn off your phone. Get thee to a nunnery.

With South Sydney up for a grand final qualifier with the Roosters on Saturday night, the timing of the revelations, four months after the alleged incident, looks suspect.
