David and Candice Warner’s dream home took six years of planning and construction – but it was well worth the wait.

The famous couple finally moved into their forever home in Maroubra, in Sydney’s south east, close to where they both grew up, earlier this year

The home features seven floors, a private beach, epic ocean views and even a room for the opening batsman’s memorabilia and huge collection of bats.

The couple bought the property in 2015 for $3.9m before knocking down the existing home on the 892sq m site.

Worth in excess of $10m, the home captures exactly how we want to live today: ease of living, seamlessly flow between rooms, areas that appeal to every member of the family and an incredible design that welcomes the warm weather into the home.

And that’s why this stunning home has featured on our list of the Top Homes of 2023.

Hotel-style luxury, resort-inspired indulgence, architecturally marvellous and just plain old comfort and family fun – this home and our list has it all.

The Warner’s incredible pad is a very worthy addition on the NSW list of Top Homes of 2023.

“The owners stay at the finest hotels in the world and were keen to evoke that same sense of luxury and sophistication here. But at the same time it’s also a beach house, and we wanted them to feel comfortable enough to walk in from the beach, toss off their shoes and really relax,’’ Interior Designer Alexandra Kidd told The Australian.
