It’s been a hot minute since we could get lost in the east’s favourite shopping centre. We reveal the huge changes coming and stack of shops opening in Westfield Bondi Junction ahead of Freedom Day.

Australia reaches 80 per cent first dose target

Gamers, home cooks, fashion fans, beauty buffs and fitness enthusiasts are in for a treat with stores using lockdown to transform Westfield Bondi Junction with a host of hot new openings.

Freedom Day will see shoppers welcomed into a number of new shops including herb and spice mega store Gewürzhaus, gamers’ paradise Good Games and a completely revamped Ella Bache.

Stores to open in the near future at Westfield Bondi are cult exercise bike program provider Peloton, shoe queen Jo Mercer and Cotton On Mega which will take up residence along with Lululemon in the old H and M tenancy.

Gewürzhaus is a dream come true for foodies boasting 300 hard to find single-origin spices, herbs, salts, peppers, teas and sugars from around the world which can be self-scooped.

Gewürzhaus co-founder Eva Konecsny said she is excited to be joining the Bondi community.

“We love to inspire wholesome home-cooking from the heart, so we look forward to meeting our new food-loving community in Bondi,” Ms Konecsny said.

“We offer our customers a truly sensory experience where they can explore spices from around the world with just a sense of smell and an open mind.”

Table top games have never been more popular than during the pandemic and so the team at Good Games are making the big move from the Oxford Street mall to inside Westfield.

Managing Director Paul Van Der Werk said they couldn’t wait to introduce new friends to the world of gaming.

“We look forward to bringing our brand to our first ever Westfield store in Bondi Junction,” he said.

“Playing games with friends and family is still one of the greatest forms of entertainment and with a wide range of games and knowledgeable staff, Good Games will find the right game for you.“

If all that shopping has got you exhausted, never fear because beauty favourite Ella Bache is back with a brand new store.

“We are so excited to be relaunching the Ella Bache Bondi Junction salon as one of our flagship salons in our premier salon network,” Ella Bache CEO Pippa Hallas said.

“We invite our customers in to experience our new skin and beauty tailored solutions and services in the new luxurious space that has been created.”

Other stores with revamps in the works include Levi’s, Louis Vuitton and L’Occitane.

If you’ve become used to shopping online, from today the Bondi centre is now offering the Westfield Direct click and collect experience.

Shoppers can now order products from multiple stores in the one online shopping cart (think a dress from Gorman, Christmas present from Kidstuff and your favourite shampoo from Aesop).

The products can then be collected together from the concierge or if your order is above $50 it will be shipped to your home for free.
