Dust off your party pants and get your jingle on because the 2021 festive season is officially happening. Here’s our list of the hottest Christmas events in Sydney.

City
Sydney Christmas Fair
Entertainment Quarter, Moore Park
Weekends only December 4 – 19
A family friendly Christmas event filled with fun workshops for the kids, carnival rides and a Gingerbread House Party disco!
Martin Place Christmas tree
From Saturday 27 November
The city’s largest Christmas tree adorned with more than 110,000 lights and 15,000 native blooms will shine from November 27.
The lights show repeats every 15 minutes 7pm to midnight.
The nearby Pitt Street Mall Canopy of Light will also illuminate on November 27.
Starting December 1, the much loved Choirs in the City program will begin with the carollers to serenade audiences from beneath the tree every night from 6pm to 8pm.
Lights of Christmas
St Mary’s Cathedral, College St
December 9 – 25
Choirs will entertain crowds from 7.30pm outside the historic church with the digital light show to begin at 8.30pm and be repeated every 15 minutes until 11pm.
Christmas at Darling Harbour
November 12 – December 26
Giant baubles and the incredible illuminate sculpture Sky Castle by ENESS will draw crowds to beloved festive event.
From November 26 punters can rent festive themed pedals boats to go for a whirl around in.
On the weekends of December 11 and 18, Tumbalong Park will host a Christmas Festival complete with food stalls and trucks, free kids activities and live music.
The Rocks Christmas Markets
Friday – Sunday
December 3 – 19
The iconic markets set among heritage cobbled streets boasts live music, festive food and incredible artisan gifts.
Carols in the Domain
18 December
Tickets are limited register your interest HERE
Australia’s favourite carols will be hosted by the lovely Natalie Barr and David Koch.
Gates at 2pm with the main concert to start at 7.45pm.
Special guests are still being finalised but they will include the incredibly talented tenor Mark Vincent.

QSWWA Window Display Competition
Almost 70 businesses in Woollahra have decked out their windows in full festive attire to celebrate Christmas.
Judges will announce the winners of the competition on December 15.

Randwick Council is organising a Christmas pop-up weekend of food trucks from 4pm to 9pm on Thursday 16 December and 12 noon to 9pm from Friday 17 to Sunday 19 December 2021.
Participants will include Happy as Larry Pizza, Wholly Schnit, The Chronicles of Crepes and many more.
Shop Small in Paddington
Oxford Street
The window of Collector Store has been illuminated in a vibrant festive display to encourage locals to shop small and local this Christmas.
The display is part of an American Express event with card holders to get bonus points for shopping in-store.
Chris Balken, who co-owns the Collector Store in Sydney’s Paddington, says: “My wife and I, and our small team, work all year for the festive period. We rely on this time of year to bring in the additional revenue we need to close the year on a positive note. However, for us, it’s also about ending the year supporting the beautiful families and locals who shop with us in store all year round by helping them find that perfect gift – it’s our way to give back to our community”, says Chris.
“We are thrilled to be working with American Express as part of the Shop Small campaign, being able to light up our high-street and community will bring such joy to our locals."

PADSTOW ROTARY'S CAROLS BY CANDLELIGHT
This beloved Carols by Candlelight event at Padstow Rotary is back on Sunday December 19 from 5.30pm to 9.30pm at Playford Park, Padstow.
The event will feature entertainment, food stalls, santa and fireworks.

CHRISTMAS AT CARNES HILL
Liverpool City Council will transform Carnes Hill Community and Recreation Precinct into a Christmas wonderland for one night only.
The event will feature carols on the lawn, Christmas treats, arts and crafts workshops, a visit from Santa and his elves, as well as Christmas markets for homemade Christmas gifts.
The event will be held on December 18 from 4pm to 9pm at Carnes Hill Community and Recreation Precinct (600 Kurrajong Rd, Carnes Hill).

Woodcroft Lake Festival and Carols
December 18
2pm – 8pm
The first stage of the event will include a pet show, pizza eating challenge, a pageant for Little Miss and Miss Teen Woodcroft, free amusement rides, market stalls and more.
Then from 6pm the carols will take centre stage.
Doonside Christmas Market
December 12
9am – 2pm
The Doonside Festival Committee and Blacktown Lions Club have joined forces to host this festive bonanza.
Grab your last minute gifts from market stalls while the kids enjoy free amusement rides.
