Drink driving psychologist Eleanor Frow to be sentenced

A drunk psychologist crashed her luxury car into several vehicles in Sydney’s eastern suburbs while she was almost five times the legal blood alcohol limit, a court has heard.

An intoxicated psychologist crashed her Lexus into several cars at Bellevue Hill before a concerned motorist parked in front of her vehicle to stop her from fleeing the scene, a court has heard.

Eleanor Frow faced Downing Centre Local Court on Friday, where she pleaded guilty to high range drink driving at almost five times the legal blood alcohol limit

Police facts tendered to court state the 45-year-old was behind the wheel of a white Lexus while drunk on Victoria Rd about 4.15pm on January 31.

Police found Frow with bloodshot eyes sitting in her car with the transmission still in drive and she was slurring her speech, the documents continued.

Frow smelt of alcohol and took a roadside breath test, returning a blood alcohol reading of 0.240, police state.

She was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station where she told police she had consumed four glasses of chardonnay at her Bellevue Hill home.

The traffic was heavy on a Friday afternoon and the corner of Birriga Rd and Victoria Rd is 50m away from Bellevue Hill Public School, police facts stated.

It is the first offence she has been charged with in NSW.

Frow is employed as a clinical neuropsychologist at Developmental Paediatrics in Bondi Junction.

Her lawyer Philippa Rich told the court the police facts were in dispute and there was no proof her client damaged any cars.

There was also no evidence Frow was trying to leave the location after the incident, Ms Rich said.

Magistrate Theo Tsavdaridis requested a sentence assessment report and adjourned the case to May 2.
