Bondi Beach: Two taken to hospital after group surf rescue
Two people have been taken to hospital after a group of swimmers were rescued at Sydney’s best-known beach.

Four people have been rescued from the waves at Bondi Beach on Tuesday evening.
About 7:30pm police and paramedics raced to Queen Elizabeth Dr, Bondi after reports a group of swimmers had gotten into trouble in the water.
It’s understood the group were swimming near Backpackers Rip when they began to struggle.
Four people were pulled from the water by surf lifesavers, including two men aged in their twenties.
The pair were treated at the scene by paramedics for minor injuries before being taken to St Vincent’s Hospital for further treatment, where both remain stable.
It comes after a man in his 80s was pulled from a popular beach in Sydney’s eastern suburbs just before midday on Monday.
Police and paramedics were called to Clovelly Beach at 11.55am after receiving reports of a man drowning at the swimming spot.
First responders performed CPR on the man, who is suspected to have suffered a medical episode in the waters.
Paramedics are still attending to the man at the beach. It is understood he is being put into a medically induced coma andwill be transported to St Vincents Hospital.
