A man has been charged with animal cruelty offences following reports in the state’s south west late last year.
Murrumbidgee Police District officers commenced an investigation in April 2024, following reports of alleged acts of animal cruelty at Coleambally late last year.
Police attended a home on Wallin Rd, Coleambally, and arrested a 20-year-old man around 8.55am on Sunday.
He was taken to Darlington Point Police Station and charged with recklessly beat etc and kill animal and torture, beat, and cause prolonged suffering to animal.
He was given conditional bail to appear before Griffith Local Court on May 15.
