Police investigate ‘Revenue Court’ graffiti sprayed on Wagga courthouse

Police are scouring CCTV after someone sprayed the words ‘Revenue Court’ across Wagga courthouse, right underneath a security camera.

Lawyers, police, court staff and even public onlookers were stopped in their tracks to see the bold letters spelling out ‘Revenue Court’ sprayed across the front of Wagga courthouse on Tuesday.

People arriving to the Fitzmaurice St courthouse around 8.30am stopped to look at the vandalism.

Court staff believe the act was committed sometime between 6pm on Monday and 8am Tuesday morning.

An unknown liquid was sprayed across the front of the building, directly underneath a security camera of the courthouse, one of their many that surround the premises.

A Riverina police spokesman said that officers were currently reviewing CCTV from the courthouse and neighbouring properties.

Police are conducting inquiries and anyone with information is urged to call Wagga Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
