NSW Police: Alleged Riverina dial-a-dealer syndicate dismantled, seven charged

Seven people accused of taking part in a dial-a-dealer syndicate across the state’s Riverina region have been charged after police conducted multiple raids. Now, their identities can be revealed.

The identities of seven people accused of taking part in a dial-a-dealer syndicate across the state’s Riverina region have been revealed, after police conducted multiple raids.

Southern Region Enforcement Squad officers established Strike Force Vandehei-Wilkinson to investigate the alleged supply of drugs across the region in February this year.

About 12.05pm on Tuesday, Simon Henderson, 38, was arrested in South Albury after police searched a car and seized 300 blue MDMA pills and $430 in cash.

He was charged with supply a commercial quantity of drugs, recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime and possess drugs.

Following the arrest, multiple raids were conducted across the Riverina by the Southern Region Enforcement Squad, with assistance from the Southern Operations Support Group, NSW Police Dog Unit and the Riverina Police District.

Jordan Passlow, 21, was arrested at a Kooringal home after a police search uncovered and seized drugs.

Police will allege in court he was involved in dealing cocaine and MDMA.

He was charged with ongoing drug supply, six counts of supplying a less than or equal amount to an indictable quantity of drugs, and recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime less than or equal to $5000.

Zac Dehaan, 20, was arrested at a Wagga Wagga unit after police seized cocaine, prescription medicine, cannabis, cash, MDMA pills and electronic devices.

He was charged with two counts of ongoing drug supply, seven counts of supplying drugs less than or equal to an indictable amount, taking part in supplying a commercial quantity of drugs and possess drugs.

Angus Purcell,20, was also arrested at a Kooringal home after police seized MDMA, cocaine, cash and electronic devices.

He was charged with supplying drugs less than or equal to an indictable amount.

Nathan Job, 26, was arrested at a Lake Albert home after police seized $39,500 in cash and cocaine.

He was charged with supplying drugs less than or equal to an indictable amount.

Henderson faced Albury Local Court today, whileDehaan and Passlowfaced Wagga Wagga Local Court.

Henderson was granted bail on the conditions he live at a Victorian address and not enter New South Wales unless for court, while Passlow and Deehan were both refused bail.

Henderson is next expected to face court on August 12, while Passlow is next expected to face court on July 23 and Deehan is next expected to face court on August 13.

Another two men - a 29-year-old man who was arrested at a Turvey Park home and a 23-year-old man arrested at a Gobbagombalin home - are expected to face Wagga Wagga Local Court on August 20 along with Purcell.

All three men were granted conditional police bail after their arrests.

The 29-year-old, who was arrested after police uncovered and seized psychedelic magic mushrooms and cocaine, was charged with supplying drugs greater than an indictable amount and less than or equal to a small amount; while the 23-year-old, who was arrested after police seized electronic devices and clothing, was charged with two counts of supplying a small quantity of drugs.

Southern Operations Commander Detective Superintendent Tim Beattie said police will allege the people arrested were dealing a “significant amount” of drugs, mainly cocaine and MDMA, over several months in and around Wagga Wagga.

“Yesterday’s arrests have put a significant dent in the drug supply network in the Riverina, with a number of alleged dealers now before the courts,” he said.

“We anticipate there will be more arrests and are urging individuals to think about the consequences of their actions.

“Involvement in drug supply and illegal activities not only endangers your life but also the lives of others.”
