Man’s body found on Newell Highway at Jerilderie
A man’s body has been found along a highway west of Wagga in the state’s south, with police investigating now urging anyone with dashcam footage to come forward.

A man’s body has been found besides a highway in the state’s south, prompting police to ask the public for help with dashcam footage.
Murray River Police District officers were alerted to the discovery of a man’s body beside the Newell Hwy at Jerilderie – just under two hours southwest of Wagga – yesterday.
Police arrived at the scene at about 12.30pm and found the man’s body, who had suffered multiple injuries.
The man is yet to be formally identified but police believe he is aged in his 40s.
A crime scene has been established, with police investigating the incident with assistance from specialist officers attached to the Crash Investigation Unit.
Police – who are expected to address the media this afternoon – are urging anyone with dashcam footage who was travelling along the 5km section of the Newell Hwy south of Jerilderie between midnight on June 16 and midday Tuesday to come forward.
