Christopher Frost facing new sexual assault charges from St Michaels Regional High School era

A former Wagga high school teacher facing five extra criminal charges after he allegedly sexually assaulted male students - then aged between 14 and 16 - in the ’80s has been pictured for he first time.

A former Wagga high school teacher spent a night in the cells after he was rearrested and police charged him with five new child sex-related allegations said to have occurred in the late 1980s.

Christopher Charles Frost, 74, is facing historical sexual assault charges following allegations he abused multiple students more than three decades ago while teaching at St Michaels Regional High School for boys in Wagga, bringing the total of charges against him to fourteen.

Mr Frost appeared back before Albury Local Court on Tuesday where the matter was adjourned for a week.

Following further inquiries on November 10, detectives arrested the 74-year-old man at his Lavington home.
Mr Frost was taken to Albury police station and charged with common assault, three counts of sexual assault and indecent assault person under 16 under authority, and indecent assault on male.

Mr Frost is facing a total of fourteen charges of sexual assault, including two counts of sexual assault on a child between 14 years and 16 years, and 10 counts of sexual assault of a child over 16 years under authority, one count of common assault and one count of assault on a male.

Mr Frost previously appeared in Albury Local Court on September 20, in relation to the initial charges.

In court, police alleged Mr Frost sexually assaulted three male students, then aged between 14 and 16, at a school in Wagga between 1984 and 1990.

Mr Frost taught at St Michaels Regional High School for boys in Wagga.

In 2003, all the catholic schools of Wagga Wagga, St Michael’s High School, Mount Erin High School and Trinity Senior High closed.

In 2004 Kildare Catholic College, on the Mount Erin site, and Mater Dei College on a new site in the Lakehaven area, were opened replacing the formers boys and girls schools.

The Watermark retirement villages are now built on the former site of St Michael’s Regional High School.
Mr Frost appeared before Magistrate Richard Funston, where he was granted conditional bail to appear back at Albury Local Court on November 25.
