Ashmont: Man fatally shot in Connorton Ave, police launch investigation

A man has been fatally shot in the state’s Riverina region overnight.
Around 3am on Monday, emergency services were called to Connorton Ave in Ashmont after receiving reports a man had been shot during an altercation.
Police officers and NSW Ambulance paramedics arrived and attended to the man however he died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified.
A crime scene was established with specialist forensic officers called to examine it.
An investigation has been launched, with detectives being assisted by the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.
As officers continue to investigate, police are urging anyone with information, dashcam or CCTV footage from the surrounding area to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
