A Tolland woman has been denied bail following allegations she pinched groceries from several stores during a stealing spree across Wagga.
Zhanee Anne Nora Cameron-Martin, 24, fronted Wagga Local on Friday, after she was charged with four counts of larceny and four counts of entering premises’ she was banned from.
Court documents reveal Cameron-Martin was allegedly caught on two separate occasions last month stealing food from Aldi in Glenfield Park.
Bacon, lamb shanks and a Dare iced coffee were among some of the items Cameron-Martin is accused of nicking from the store she is allegedly not allowed to enter.
Police will also allege Cameron-Martin stole a bag of groceries worth around $50 from Coles Supermarket in the Sturt Mall on November 4.
But the final straw came yesterday for Cameron-Martin when she was charged with allegedly pinching a $4 bottle of soft drink from the reject shop located in the Glenfield Park South City Shopping Centre - another place she is not, without a lawful excuse, allowed to enter.
When applying for bail, Cameron-Martin’s defence lawyer told the court she was currently two-months pregnant and was taking part in drug and alcohol counselling.
However no documents could prove to the court Cameron-Martin was expecting a baby.
She was denied bail and will appear at Wagga Local Court again on Monday. She has not yet entered pleas to the charges.
