Truck driver killed after being trapped in crash near Nelligen
A truck driver has tragically died after being trapped in a single-vehicle crash on a busy south coast road this morning.

A man has died after his tipper truck veered off the road, trapping the driver inside the upturned vehicle on the Kings Highway this morning.
Emergency services were called to the busy arterial road near Nelligen at 6.50am following reports of a crash about 300m east of Old Bolaro Rd.
Initial investigations by south coast police suggest the truck was travelling west when it veered off the road, striking a steel railing before flipping and hitting a tree.
The driver tragically died at the scene after being freed from the vehicle by emergency services.
Police have not identified the driver, but said he is believed to be in his 30s.
Both lanes of the Kings Highway were closed as a result of the crash, but have since reopened with traffic control measures in place.
Police have advised motorists to still find alternate routes where possible.
An investigation has been launched into the circumstances around the crash, with police urging any witness or people with dashcam footage to come forward.
