Timothy Edwards: Moruya man charged with possessing prohibited weapons, stolen items
A south coast man accused of stashing stolen watches and prohibited weapons on a motorbike has faced court.

A man accused of stashing multiple stolen watches, as well as prohibited weapons from knives to an extendible baton, on his motorbike has faced court.
The allegations saw Timothy Edwards, 33, wind up in Batemans Bay Local Court on Monday, facing multiple charges, some of which he pleaded guilty and others not guilty.
The Moruya man pleaded guilty to two counts of possess ammunition without holding a licence, acquire firearm parts without licence or permit and one count of possess unlawfully obtained goods.
Meanwhile, Edwards pleaded not guilty to two counts of having custody of a knife in a public place, counts of possess unlawfully obtained goods and possess prohibited weapon.
Documents tendered to the court allege Edwards’ motorbike was searched by south coast police on the afternoon of April 11 this year in Nelligen – 15km northwest of Batemans Bay – following suspicions he was possessing multiple prohibited items.
In court on Monday, Edwards admitted to possessing 270 calibre and 320 calibre firearm ammunition, an extendible baton, two gel blaster magazines, a stolen a drivers licence and Medicare card.
Meanwhile, Edwards denied police finding a hunting style knife, a red and silver folding knife, nine stolen watches, four medal ribbons and a zombie knife also stashed in the bike.
Following the search, police arrested Edwards who was later charged and granted bail.
In court on Monday, Edward’s lawyer Keely Boom entered pleas on her client’s behalf before asking Magistrate Doug Dick for an adjournment.
Ms Boom said the weapons and ammunition which Edwards admitted to having had been forfeited by police.
Edwards will return to Batemans Bay Local Court on July 22.
