A south coast man’s mother has placed a $5000 surety on him after he was charged with indecently assaulting a child multiple times between 2017 and 2018.

A south coast man charged with multiple indecent assaults of a child in 2017 has had his bail varied.
The 37-year-old is yet to enter a plea to one count of inciting a person under the age of 16 to commit an act of indecency and three counts of indecently assaulting a person under the age of 16.
The man faced Bega Local Court alongside his wife on November 18, and successfully applied to have conditions of his bail varied following his arrest on October 1 this year.
“Investigators have concerns about him being around children, even his own children, Magistrate Doug Dick told the court.
Police allege the man indecently assaulted the child at a number of south coast locations between January, 2017, and June 2018.
His new bail conditions included his mother placing a $5000 surety in case he breaches the new conditions, and that he present himself to Bega Police Station once a week.
He will face Bega Local Court on December 15.
