Nowra: Man dead, another injured in Princes Hwy, Tomerong crash

A horror crash which temporarily shut a NSW south coast highway has resulted in tragedy, with one man left dead and another badly injured.
Emergency services were called to the Princes Hwy near Turpentine Rd at Tomerong about 3.30pm on Monday.
South Coast Police District officers found two vehicles had collided head-on.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 46-year-old man, however, he died at the scene.
The second driver, a 67-year-old man, was trapped in the vehicle after the crash, but was freed and flown to St George Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
There were no other occupants in the vehicles.
Police set up a crime scene and forensics officers were called in to investigate.
The crash shut the Princes Hwy, south of Nowra, for hours. The road reopened in both directions late Monday night.
A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
