Nowra: Man charged after allegedly stashing gun, drugs and cash in car
A man is set to face court after police officers carrying out a traffic stop on the NSW south coast allegedly discovered weapons, drugs and cash stashed in his car.

A young man pulled over during a traffic stop on the NSW south coast was allegedly found with multiple weapons, various drugs from cocaine to meth and cash stashed in the car.
About 2am on Saturday, March 9, Traffic and Highway Patrol officers were conducting proactive patrols of the Princes Hwy when they stopped a vehicle travelling north of the Princes Hwy at Tomerong.
The car – being driven by a 26-year-old man – was searched by the officers, who allegedly uncovered multiple items stashed in the vehicle, from a shortened firearm hidden under the driver's seat, to a bag of cocaine.
NSW Police stated that along with the shortened gun and cocaine, two knives, a tomahawk axe, methamphetamine and cash were also allegedly located in the car.
As a result of the discovery, the 26-year-old man was arrested and taken to the Nowra Police Station where he was charged with possess a shortened firearm without authority, possess ammunition without holding a licence, possession of equipment for administering prohibited drugs, possess prohibited drug, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, possess loaded firearm in a public place, and carry cutting weapon upon apprehension.
The man was refused bail and is set to appear before the Nowra Local Court on March 26.
